JOIN US TO BENEFIT EVENING VALLEY CHILDREN
Getting involved in a charity is a great way to give back to your community. The Nevada Children’s Foundation supports programs that benefit people with disabilities. It also operates a residential program at Eagle Valley Children’s Home and a respite program in your own home. Getting involved is a fun way to make new friends while helping to improve the lives of children in need.
The Nevada Children’s Foundation also operates the state’s largest public library, which includes a swanky new children’s reading room with a library of curated children’s books and other children’s media. The library is free to patrons and offers a range of services to help kids of all ages learn, play and grow. The library also offers a family resource center that provides information on everything from local parks and bike paths to nearby libraries, daycare centers and museums. It’s a fun place to visit, and the best part is you don’t even need to leave your car to get there. The library is also home to Nevada’s largest and oldest children’s museum, which features interactive exhibits, an IMAX theater and a planetarium. For information on these and other programs, contact the Foundation’s offices at (775) 438-6343. Or visit the Foundation’s website. You can also visit the Foundation’s online calendar to see if there’s a program near you. You’ll also be able to join our mailing list to receive news about new programs, special events, and other opportunities.
